Milwaukee
Gear's history began in 1918 when Emil G. Borisch and
Walter C. Kohls founded the two-man company in a small,
downtown Milwaukee one story brick building. They were
the company's salesmen, machinists, order clerks and
product inspectors. |
They delivered orders themselves
by horse and wagon, taking care to learn each customer's
needs. No matter how large or small an order, Borisch and
Kohls remained focused on their policy of quality and service.
We are proud that many of Milwaukee Gear's earliest customers
still buy from us. Through each decade, we have developed
cost-effective production methods that have enabled us
to provide the highest quality and service at the best
possible price.

In 1953, our present 180,000
square foot plant was completed in suburban Milwaukee.
Reinvestment has been constant, ever broadening the company's
capabilities for precision, efficiency and capacity. Today
Milwaukee Gear produces gears of all types for companies
worldwide.
Our company tradition of quality and service continues today
in the teamwork exhibited by our engineers, designers, customer service and
machinists.
At Milwaukee Gear, we recognize
that our success is the result of customer satisfaction.
To our faithful customers, we say thank you. To new companies
seeking high quality, high performance gears, we say welcome.
Give Milwaukee Gear your toughest orders -- we're the company
that knows gears.
