CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT TECHNICIAN

individual to be responsible for
implementing continuous improvement
opportunities. Engage in streamline
processes and reduce waste.
Requirements & Responsibilities
-
Develop, evaluate and improve
manufacturing methods.
-
Establish standardized work methods
as a result of the continuous
improvement activities.
-
Study workflow, operations sequence
and work instructions to determine
staff functions, responsibilities
and best practice.
-
Analyzes and plans work force
utilization, space requirements,
workflow and designs layout of
equipment and workspace for maximum
efficiency.
-
Improve various aspects of
operational performance such as
productivity, indirect labor,
material flow, inventory levels, and
manufacturing variances.
-
Provides training tools and
technical expertise as required to
achieve goals.
-
Perform cost/benefit analysis in
support of targeted projects.
-
Ability to define problems and
implement appropriate resolution
processes.
-
Ability to effectively communicate
technical information to
non-technical personnel.
-
Demonstrate flexibility to meet
changing requirements (this includes
ability to work a very flexible
schedule across shifts and potential
weekends).
-
Must
have an energized, optimistic 'can
do' attitude.
Qualification Requirements:
·
4 Year Degree or mix of
experience and education required.
Special preference will be given to
those with Industrial Engineering
Degrees.
·
Have experience with
cellular manufacturing, CNC machining,
time standard, layout, and new machine
startup.
·
Minimum 3 years experience
in a manufacturing environment.
·
Have knowledge with
continuous improvement techniques such
as Quick Response Manufacturing or Lean
Manufacturing is a plus.
