| Staying Ahead
of Industry Needs
Milwaukee Gear always has taken
a proactive approach to our customers' needs. Every year,
we increase our percentage of revenue invested in machine
tools, equipment and staff training to guarantee we can
deliver custom gears the industry requires.
Our annual capital expenditures continue to increase our manufacturing capabilities with the latest technology enabling us to maintain cost and lead time. Our
most recent acquisitions are detailed below.
 |
| Our new
Gleason Pfauter 1600 Profile Grinding Machine
increases our external tooth grinding range from
1200mm diameter to 1600mm diameter. The Gleason
Pfauter's greater accuracy to meet higher AGMA
classes while reducing setup costs and tooling
expenses. |
|
 |
| We recently added
in-house balancing to our comprehensive services
by purchasing a new American Hofman Corp. HD-22.1D
balancing system. The American Hofman can handle
bull gears up to 2500 pounds and up to 47 inches
in diameter. |
|
 |
| We upgraded our grinding
capabilities with our new Springfield model 36
CNC Bore Grinder. The CNC holds tolerances of
.0005 in. for improved accuracy. It is easier
to operate for more efficient production times.
It also increases the size capacity Milwaukee
Gear can grind from a 35-in. diameter to a 42-in.
diameter. |
